The New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble welcomes new players. We rehearse Thursdays from 7:30-10pm at the Julia Richman Education Complex, 317 E. 67th Street at Second Avenue in Manhattan.

The following positions are currently open: string players in all sections—violins, violas, cellos, double basses. Other positions may open during the season since our personnel changes from cycle to cycle depending on repertoire and not all members are available for every concert. Please feel free to contact us no matter what instrument you play.

Auditions

Please submit a short description of your instrumental and orchestral experience by email to Tim Hutto, Music Director at nysaeinfo@yahoo.com. You then will be invited to attend a rehearsal to be informally evaluated by our conductors and section leaders. Although some of our members are professional musicians, NYSAE is a volunteer orchestra.

Rehearsal Schedule

Rehearsals are from 7:30–10pm on Thursday evenings. Dress rehearsals take place on the Saturday prior to a concert from 2–5pm.
